YEREVAN. Oct 22 (Interfax) - Introducing peacekeepers to the region of the Karabakh conflict is acceptable for the Armenian side and the peacekeepers can be Russian, Armenia's Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan said.

"An introduction of peacekeepers is acceptable for us. I can say that Azerbaijan's ideas about which peacekeepers will not be same as Armenia's in this matter. Speaking of comprises, a version of a compromise could be a presence of Russian peacekeepers. Russia is on good terms both with Azerbaijan and with Armenia. It is very important to consider the opinions of other regional countries, important for specific peacekeeping forces to stabilize the region, not vice versa," Pashinyan said in an interview with Interfax on Thursday.
