Patrushev, O'Brien discuss Karabakh, arms control at Geneva meeting - Russian Security Council

MOSCOW. Oct 2 (Interfax) - Russian Security Council Secretary Nikolai Patrushev and United States National Security Advisor Robert O'Brien discussed the situation in Nagorno-Karabakh, arms control, cybersecurity, efforts against terrorism, and other important issues at a meeting in Geneva on Friday, Russian Security Council press secretary Yevgeny Anoshin said.

Patrushev and O'Brien "considered aspects of nonproliferation of nuclear weapons and arms control, security in using information and communication technology, improvement of interaction in opposing terrorism, the situation in Nagorno-Karabakh, and other issues of mutual interest," Anoshin said.

The working meeting between Patrushev and O'Brien was "aimed at normalizing bilateral relations and improving international security," he said.
