Navalny's transportation to Germany permitted, his condition stable

MOSCOW. Aug 21 (Interfax) - Doctors in Omsk do not object to the transportation of the opposition politician Alexei Navalny to Germany, a deputy chief physician at the city's first aid hospital No. 1 told journalists on Friday.

"The patient is in stable condition, and having the request from relatives to allow him to be transported somewhere, we have at this point decided that we do not object to his transfer to another hospital, as will be indicated by his relatives," Anatoly Kalinichenko said.

"Talks over Alexei's transportation have begun at last. It is likely that it will now be possible to transport Navalny. It is a pity that the doctors took so long to make this decision. The plane has been waiting since the morning, and documentation was also ready then," Navalny's press secretary Kira Yarmysh wrote on Twitter.
