Belarus ready for unbiased dialogue on all issues concerning situation in country - FM
MINSK. Aug 14 (Interfax) - Minsk is ready for a constructive dialogue with foreign partners on all issues concerning today's developments in Belarus, Belarusian Foreign Minister Vladimir Makei said in a telephone call with Swiss National Council member and head of the Federal Department of Foreign Affairs Ignazio Cassis on Friday.
"The recent presidential election in the Republic of Belarus and the ongoing situation in our country were at the center of the telephone conversation. [...] The Belarusian side reiterated its readiness for a constructive and objective dialogue with foreign partners on all issues concerning the developments in Belarus during the election campaign and upon its completion," the press service of the Belarusian Foreign Ministry said.
Makei also thanked Swiss authorities for ensuring security during voting at the polling station opened at the Belarusian embassy to Switzerland.
"The parties confirmed their mutual interest in further successful development of Belarusian-Swiss relations," the press service said.
The phone conversation was held at Switzerland's initiative, it said.
