Russia records 5,509 new Covid-19 cases, 129 deaths in past 24 hours - HQ
MOSCOW. July 30 (Interfax) - Russia reported 5,509 new Covid-19 cases in the past 24 hours, the coronavirus response headquarters said in a statement on Thursday.
"Over the past day, 5,509 cases of the Covid-19 novel coronavirus infection were confirmed in 84 regions of Russia, including 1,361 active asymptomatic cases (24.7%)," the headquarters said.
Russia's total case count currently stands at 834,499 (+0.7%) in 85 regions.
Moscow registered 678 new Covid-19 cases, 12 deaths, and 1,471 recoveries in the past day.
Russia confirmed 129 coronavirus-related deaths in the past 24 hours, bringing its Covid-19 death toll to 13,802.
A total of 9,322 patients recovered from the novel coronavirus in Russia over the past day. Russia's overall recovery rate currently stands at 629,655.
