Russian govt approves Aeroflot's additional share issue under condition that state retains control

MOSCOW. July 28 (Interfax) - The Russian government has approved an additional issue of Aeroflot's shares under the condition that the state retains control in the country's flagship airline carrier.

Russia's Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin signed the relevant order on July 24, the government's press service told Interfax.

According to the document, Aeroflot will conduct a public offering for the additional issue of shares; however, the state's share in the airline carrier must not be less than the current 51.17% upon the results. Russia's Federal Property Management Agency (Rosimuschestvo) holds the stake in Aeroflot.
