Murashko: We're planning to start vaccinating high-risk people, primarily medical workers, in Aug

MOSCOW. July 23 (Interfax) - Vaccinations of medics for coronavirus may begin as early as August, Russian Health Minister Mikhail Murashko said.

"We're planning for all of this to develop this year, and it will be proposed as early as August; we're now looking at categories [of people to be vaccinated], of course, primarily medical workers and those dealing with sick patients the most. So, [people in] risk categories will be offered a vaccine," Murashko told reporters in response to a question from Interfax on Thursday.

He did not elaborate, however, on when to expect mass vaccinations of the population.
