Matsotsky partners with Gazprombank after IBS asset split

MOSCOW. July 17 (Interfax) - Gazprombank and one of the founders of Russian information technology group IBS, Sergei Matsotsky have agreed on the main terms for the bank's participation in GS Invest, the lender said in a statement.

The joint venture being created on the basis of this company will engage in integration in the area of complex infrastructure solutions, information security systems and projects, software development, big data management systems, artificial intelligence systems and comprehensive solutions for the financial sector.

Matsotsky is expected to contribute to the venture stakes in three companies that he received in the restructuring of IBS: system integrator Rubitech; BFT, a provider of solutions for government finances and management; and Arenadata, which is developing a platform for big data management based on open source software.

IBS announced in April that its two shareholders, Anatoly Karachinsky and Sergei Matsotsky had decided to split up the business. Matsotsky is no longer a shareholder of IBS and is not involved in the group's management bodies. Part of IBS's business was spun off into an independent company that went to Matsotsky. It includes IBS's infrastructure division, BFT, which develops software and consulting solutions for the state sector and businesses, and Arenadata, a corporate platform for storing and processing big data.

Matsotsky recently joined the board of directors of Alfa Bank.
