Six people, including Babariko, collect necessary 100,000 verified signatures to be registered as potential Belarusian presidential candidates - CEC

MINSK. June 30 (Interfax) - The Belarusian Central Elections Commission (CEC) has finished checking signatures submitted in support of potential presidential candidates.

According to the information published on the CEC website, six potential rivals have gathered the necessary 100,000 signatures each. In particular, the necessary amount of signatures has been gathered in support of former Belgazprombank head Viktor Babariko.

Former High Technology Park head Valery Tsepkalo failed to collect 100,000 signatures, the CEC said.
