MOSCOW. June 26 (Interfax) - Russia's biggest military exercise of 2020 is due to take place in July-September, Defense Minister Sergei Shoigu said.

"The most large-scale military exercises of 2020, which involve numerous troops, will be held in July-September" Shoigu said at a meeting of the ministry board on Friday.

The summer training season will start with special drills and continue with "troop practice in the course of the Caucasus 2020 strategic command drill," he said.

"Also in that period, we will concentrate on training pilots of the Aerospace Forces and Marine Aviation and parachute jumps in the Airborne Forces," Shoigu said.
