Interfax and IMEMO to hold Primakov Readings online session on India in focus of interests of Russia, U.S., China
The Interfax news agency will host an online session of the Primakov Readings forum to address "India in the Focus of Interests: Russia, the U.S., China" at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, June 11.
The previous session of Primakov Readings "U.S. can't afford to contain both Russia and China - experts" was held on June 4.
The participants will include Vyacheslav Trubnikov, a general of the army, a member of the directorate of the Russian Academy of Sciences' Primakov Institute of World Economy and International Relations (IMEMO) and Russia's ambassador to India in 2004-2009; Nandan Unnikrishnan, an honorary academic fellow of the Observer Research Foundation in New Delhi; Alexei Kupriyanov, a senior academic fellow at IMEMO's department of international policy problems.
Russian special presidential representative for international cultural cooperation Mikhail Shvydkoi will moderate the session.
The participants are to discuss the following topics: "How can Russian-Indian economic ties be advanced to match the level of their political relations?"; "India in a quadrangle: coinciding and incongruous interests"; "2030: can India's relations with China and Pakistan change?"

The Primakov Readings is a new joint project of Interfax and the Institute of World Economy and International Relations.
