Berlin against U.S. exterritorial sanctions on Nord Stream 2

BERLIN. June 5 (Interfax) - The position of Germany on Nord Stream 2 has not changed following the statements from the United States, and Berlin does not accept exterritorial sanctions, Anna Sophie Eichler, an official with the German Federal Ministry for Economic Affairs and Energy, told Interfax.

"As you know, we're following the development of the situation with Nord Stream 2, including in the United States. We're not commenting on it. Our fundamental position on exterritorial sanctions is also clear: we reject them," Eichler said on Friday.
