Russian govt postpones review of three-year macro forecast to next week

MOSCOW. June 4 (Interfax) - The Russian government has postponed the review of the issue of the main parameters of the forecast for socio-economic development in Russia for 2021-2023 to its next meeting, the Economic Development Ministry's press service told Interfax.

"This matter has been postponed to the next government meeting [held every week on Thursdays]," the ministry's representative said.

The Economic Development Ministry has not commented on the reasons why the government's review of this issue has been postponed until next week.

The government's press service had previously said in a press release that it planned at the meeting on Thursday to consider the matter including "Scenario conditions, the main parameters of the forecast of the socio-economic development of Russia and the projected changes in prices and tariffs for goods and services of business entities fulfilling regulated activities in the infrastructure sector for 2021 and for the planning period of 2022 and 2023."

However, on Thursday, in the announcements section of the Russian government's website, this matter was no longer on the agenda of the cabinet ministers' meeting.
