Mishustin adds media to list of economic sectors affected by coronavirus pandemic
MOSCOW. May 29 (Interfax) - Russian Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin has added mass media to the list of economic sectors affected by the coronavirus pandemic, the government press service said in a statement.
"The activity of the mass media and the manufacturing of print products have been added to the list of Russian economic sectors the most severely impacted by the novel coronavirus. Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin has signed a resolution to this effect," the statement said.
According to the statement, support will be provided to publishers of books, newspapers, magazines, and periodicals, television and radio companies, online media outlets, and news agencies. The printing of newspapers has also been added to the list of affected sectors.
