Sberbank will reduce int'l business as part of previously taken decisions, not because of coronavirus - Gref

MOSCOW. May 19 (Interfax) - Sberbank plans to reduce its international presence within the framework of previously taken decisions and not because of the spread of the coronavirus, the bank's CEO Herman Gref told reporters.

"No, we are not planning yet [to reduce international presence owing to the situation in the global economy], and we have a strong sense of international business. We will act within the framework of the previously taken decisions. We plan to reduce our presence there, but this is not linked to the coronavirus," Gref said during an online briefing on Tuesday.
