Russian health minister expects coronavirus vaccines by late July

MOSCOW. May 13 (Interfax) - Russian Health Minister Mikhail Murashko is expecting coronavirus vaccines to appear by as early as end of July.

"The number of candidate vaccines will be known after the preclinical test results become available, and clinical trials will begin in June. As clinical trials continue, we will understand when we can expect broader studies through practical use," Murashko said at the State Duma on Wednesday.

"I'm expecting the emergence of the initial medications in July, perhaps after the 20th," he said.
