Latest package of support measures for citizens and economy is largest in terms of funds made available - Mishustin
MOSCOW. May 13 (Interfax) - The package of measures to support citizens and the economy proposed by Russian President Vladimir Putin was drawn up with the participation of the government, Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin said, indicating that this package was the largest to date in terms of funds made available.
"This package has become the largest in terms of funds made available to implement it and the amount of people that it will affect," Mishustin said during a government meeting on the socioeconomic situation on Wednesday.
The measures adopted include support for families with children, a twofold increase in the childcare allowance, with help made available to the parents of 27 million children.
Families where income per person is below the minimum subsistence level will receive the payments promised by the state not on July 1, as was envisaged earlier, but as early as June 1.
In addition, the list of families who can count on additional monthly payments of 5 thousand rubles has been expanded.
One-off assistance in the amount of 10,000 rubles will be made available for parents of all children between 3 and 16 years of age.
"What's just as important, without collecting any paperwork. In the past 24 hours alone, over two million applications for this payment have been submitted through the Gosuslugi website," Mishustin said.
Beginning on June 1, a special loan program to support employment should be launched, which will be available to all enterprises in affected industries and socially oriented NGOs.
Taxes, except for VAT and insurance payments, will be fully written off for individual entrepreneurs of small and medium enterprises and socially oriented NGOs for Q2 2020.
Self-employed individuals will be fully reimbursed for profit taxes their paid in 2019, and they will also receive tax capital in the amount of one minimum monthly wage.
