Mishustin actively involved in work process, maintains constant contact with ministers - Siluanov
MOSCOW. May 6 (Interfax) - Russian Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin, who has been diagnosed with coronavirus, is actively participating in the government activity using remote access channels, Finance Minister Anton Siluanov said.
"For the past few weeks, the government has been mostly operating in the videoconferencing regime. This format will stay unchanged in the near future, as it is justified. As for the news of illness of Mikhail Vladimirovich, no one is safe and the virus does not discriminate between heads and non-heads. I wish him rapid recovery and have no doubt that we will meet in the government soon enough," Siluanov said in an interview with the newspaper Vedomosti.
"The prime minister maintains permanent contact with us on the phone and is actively involved in the work process: existent telecommunications allow him to easily do that," Siluanov said.
Mishustin was diagnosed with coronavirus on April 30. He notified Russian President Vladimir Putin about his condition in a videoconference before going to a medical institution. Later that day, the president appointed First Deputy Prime Minister Andrei Belousov as acting prime minister.
