Unacceptable to Russia approaches by some countries hinder development of common UNSC position on global truce proposal - diplomatic source
MOSCOW. April 30 (Interfax) - A number of countries are trying to take advantage of the proposal on a global truce in order to win concessions from others regarding the situations in some conflict zones, a Russian diplomatic source told Interfax on Thursday.
"Unfortunately, a number of countries are continuing to prioritize their own political and geopolitical interests, that is, seeking absolutely unreasonable concessions from other members of the international community and trying to force their views on the developments, including in some conflict regions," the source said.
"Naturally, this approach is unacceptable to us and a lot of others. It only shows that the pandemic emergency hasn't changed approaches to international affairs," the source said.
