Novak: No revision of gas prices for Belarus envisaged in 2020, companies operating in line with signed documents

MOSCOW. April 29 (Interfax) - There is no revision of 2020 gas prices for Belarus envisaged Russian Energy Minister Alexander Novak told Interfax in an interview.

Belarusian President Alexander Lukashenko said earlier that the gas price should be more adaptive to the current acute changes in economic conditions. "It's obvious that the price should be more adaptive under such a acute change in economic conditions and the calculation mechanism manageable for consumers," he said during a working meeting of the Supreme Eurasian Economic Council.

"We are proceeding from the agreements reached on gas prices for Belarusian consumers through the end of 2020," Novak said in turn.

"And this price is fixed in the relevant protocol between the Belarusian government and Gazprom , as well as in contracts between business entities, no revision is also expected there. Our companies are interacting in accordance with the signed documents - a price of $127 per thousand cubic meters," Novak said.
