Putin: Non-working period in Russia to last through May 11

MOSCOW. April 28 (Interfax) - The period of non-working days in Russia will last through May 11, Russian President Vladimir Putin said at a session on countering the coronavirus spread in regions.

"The succession of the major May holidays is ahead. And between them, there are working days, May 6, 7 and 8. We know that many people would have not worked in an ordinary situation, they would have taken days off or vacations. And we cannot risk now more than ever. This is why I consider it appropriate to declare these three days non-working ones with full pay. Therefore, in light of all May holidays the period of non-working days will continue through May 11," Putin said.
