Putin to hold conference with regions on fight against Covid-19, he is expected to deliver speech - Peskov

MOSCOW. April 28 (Interfax) - Russian President Vladimir Putin will hold a conference with the regions' heads on measures to counter the spread of coronavirus on Tuesday and is also expected to deliver a speech, presidential press secretary Dmitry Peskov said.

The heads of all regions will take part in the videoconference with the president on Tuesday, Peskov said.

"There will be opening remarks," he said.

When asked whether the president will also address the country's citizens at the upcoming conference, as it previously happened during such similar events, Peskov said that "indeed, President Putin is expected to deliver a speech. I won't announce anything. Let's wait for this conference."
