Belousov orders agencies to work out state support for cos not eligible on technicalities

MOSCOW. April 28 (Interfax) - Russian companies hit by the crisis that are not currently eligible to apply for state support for technical reasons because they do not fall within the specified types of economic activities might get it after all.

First Deputy Prime Minister Andrei Belousov has ordered the Economic Development Ministry and Federal Tax Service to work out possible mechanisms to provide support to companies hit by the coronavirus pandemic not only according to the national classifier of types of economic activities, but also based on them having suffered a substantial drop in revenue, a source on the government's finance and economics team told Interfax.

There have been indications from businesses that not all companies that need help have access to it, the source said.
