Russian govt preparing third package of support to restore "normal rhythm" of economy - PM

MOSCOW. April 27 (Interfax) - The Russian government is preparing a third package of measures to support the economy amid the coronavirus pandemic, Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin said.

"The government is already preparing a third package of measures, which will be aimed at restoring the normal rhythm of the economy's operation," Mishustin said at a meeting with deputy prime ministers on Monday.

He instructed the Economic Development Ministry "work through all proposals, summarize them and present them to the government on April 30."

In addition to financial support, businesses also need other solutions to remove barriers, Mishustin said.

Among other things, he said the licensing process will be made easier, and areas where there is "automatic" licensing will be expanded. "This is temporary connection of facilities to the heat supply system, issuance of taxi permits, classification of hotels," Mishustin said.
