Teen plotting attack at educational establishment detained in Tyumen region - FSB
MOSCOW. April 22 (Interfax) - A teen born in 2001 has been detained in the Tyumen region for plotting an armed attack on a local educational establishment, the Federal Security Service (FSB) said in a statement.
"A smoothbore hunting gun with ammunition, two hunting knives, ammonia nitrate, communication devices, and instructions for making improvised explosive devices, which were downloaded from the Internet, were seized from the suspect," the FSB public relations center told Interfax.
The investigative department of the Russian Investigative Committee's branch in the Tyumen region opened a criminal case against the suspect on counts of plotting to murder two persons or more by a socially dangerous method.
"The intent to commit a crime was confirmed by testimony of the detainee and witnesses. A measure of restraint is being chosen," the FSB said.
