Medvedev predicts change in principles of oil trading
MOSCOW. April 21 (Interfax) - The principles of oil trading could change in the future, the deputy head of Russia's Security Council, former Prime Minister Dmitry Medvedev said.
"This situation should be the subject of the most careful analysis, since it undermines the recovery of the global economy. It is likely that in future the principles of trading oil might change, for example, taking into account the experience of entering into long-term energy contracts using the take-or-pay principle," Medvedev said on his Facebook page on Tuesday.
"What we're seeing in regard to oil futures contracts very much resembles price fixing," Medvedev said.
