Twenty-two more Covid-19 patients discharged from hospitals upon recovery in Russia - Health Ministry

MOSCOW. April 6 (Interfax) - Twenty-two more Covid-19 patients were discharged from hospitals in Russia upon recovery in the past 24 hours, and 58,000 coronavirus tests were made on Sunday, Russian Deputy Health Minister Oleg Salagai said on Facebook.

"Twenty-two more persons discharged from hospitals upon recovery in the past 24 hours. Some 700,000 tests have been made by now. The number of daily tests is constantly growing and has reached 58,000 per day," Salagai said.

The outbreak of pneumonia caused by the novel coronavirus began in the Chinese city of Wuhan in mid-December 2019; the disease was called Covid-19. The World Health Organization (WHO) recognized the outbreak as an international emergency in late January 2020.
