Number of coronavirus-related deaths in Moscow reaches 19

MOSCOW. April 2 (Interfax) - Another three patients who were diagnosed with double pneumonia and tested positive for Covid-19 have died in Moscow, the city's taskforce on monitoring the coronavirus situation told Interfax early on Thursday morning.

"The deceased patients were between the ages of 63 and 72 years old," the taskforce said, adding that the latest deaths have brought the overall number of fatal Covid-19 cases in the Russian capital to 19.

The people who died on Wednesday suffered from a range of concurrent illnesses such as cardiosclerosis, chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD), diabetes, and arterial hypertension, it said.

One of these patients, a woman, recently returned from abroad, it said.

The taskforce also reminded Muscovites of all age groups of the need to stay at home.

As of Wednesday, Moscow had 1,880 coronavirus cases, including 115 recoveries.
