Number of officially registered Covid-19 cases in Russia climbs to 1,836 - operative headquarters
MOSCOW. March 30 (Interfax) - More than 300 new cases of coronavirus have been registered in Russia over the past 24 hours, thus bringing the total number of cases in the country to 1,836, the operative headquarters said.
"Over the past 24 hours, 302 [new] cases of Covid-19 have been confirmed in 35 regions," the headquarters said in a statement released on Monday.
"A total of 1,836 cases of coronavirus have now cumulatively been registered in the Russian Federation as of today," the statement said.
As before, the most new cases, 212, have been registered in Moscow. It is for the first time followed by the Komi Republic with 15 new cases, which is followed by St. Petersburg with eight, the Moscow region with seven new cases, Buryatia with five cases, and the Arkhangelsk region with four new cases. Three new cases each have been registered in the Belgorod region, the Pskov region, the Kirov region, Adygeya, and Dagestan.
Two new cases each were registered in the Vladimir region, the Ivanovo region, the Ryazan region, the Vologda region, the Leningrad region, the Murmansk region, the Saratov region, the Chelyabinsk region, Kabardino-Balkaria, Marii-El, the Perm Territory, and the Krasnoyarsk Territory. One case each was registered in the Kaluga region, the Lipetsk region, the Tver region, the Tula region, the Kaliningrad region, the Orenburg region, the Irkutsk region, the Novosibirsk region, Kalmykia, Khakassiya, the Stavropol Territory, and the Altai Territory.
