Putin declares next week to be non-working with salary preserved
MOSCOW. March 25 (Interfax) - Russian President Vladimir Putin announced several days from Saturday, March 28, until Sunday, April 5, as days off.
"It is extremely important to prevent a threat of a swift spread of the disease. Therefore, I declare the next week to be non-working with the salary preserved. Thus, the weekend will last from Saturday, March 28 until Sunday, April 5," Putin said in a televised address to the Russians.
"Of course, all of the life-sustaining institutions, medical institutions, pharmacies, shops, institutions, which provide for banking and financial settlements, transport services, as well as state authorities of all levels will continue their operation," the president said.
