MOSCOW. March 25 (Interfax) - Russian President Vladimir Putin will take part in the G20 virtual summit on Thursday amid the coronavirus pandemics, Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov told the press on Wednesday.
"The president has a scheduled videoconference, the G20 virtual summit initiated by Saudi Arabia, which currently presides in the Group of 20," Peskov said.
The president will connect with the other chiefs of state from the Konstantin Palace, he said.
"That will happen in a hall of the Konstantin Palace. The president will be seated in front of the screen. There will be a camera. He will be seeing his colleagues on the screen," Peskov said.
Preparations for the summit are ongoing, he said.
"We will inform you if there is a joint statement or a declaration," Peskov said.
