Miller sees rising demand for gas in Russia, Europe
NOVO-OGAREVO. June 17 (Interfax) - Demand for gas in Russia and Europe is beginning to rise, Gazprom CEO Alexei Miller said at a meeting with Prime Minister Vladimir Putin.
"Recently we have seen the real sector of the economy begin to revive. That applies to the domestic market and gas deliveries to Europe. In literally the last few weeks we are seeing that demand has gradually started to rise," Miller said.
At the same time, Miller noted that "the amount of gas on the market today exceeds the existing demand."
