Turkey wants to buy large batch of Mi-28N helicopters from Russia

LE BOURGET, France. June 17 (Interfax) - Turkey is interested in purchasing a large number of Mil Mi-28N helicopters from Russia, Alexander Mikheyev, deputy general director of arms trader Rosoboronexport, told journalists in Le Bourget on Wednesday.

"Indeed, Turkey has shown its very serious interest in such helicopters. However, it is too early speak about the results [of negotiations]," Mikheyev said.

Turkey reportedly asked Russia earlier to sell it up to 40 Mi-28N helicopters.
