CPC oil shipments soar 11.7% in 5 mths
MOSCOW. June 17 (Interfax) - The Caspian Pipeline Consortium (CPC) raised export crude shipments via the Russian port of Novorossiisk 11.7% year-on-year in January-May to 14.3 million tonnes, the CPC said on its website.
May shipments rose 0.9% year-on-year to 2.707 million tonnes, however this was 5.1% lower than in April 2009.
The 1,580-km CPC pipeline runs from the Tengiz oil field in West Kazakhstan to the Russian Black Sea coast. It pumped 31.47 million tonnes of crude in 2008.
