ALMATY. Jul 20 (Interfax) - Kazakhstan's money supply increased in the first half of 2009 by 8.3% to 6.786 trillion tenge (150.73 tenge/$1 on July 20, 2009), the National Bank of Kazakhstan said in a statement.

In June this figure went up by 3%.

Total cash funds in circulation in June increased by 5% (up 4.6% for the first half) to 818.8 billion tenge.

The country's monetary base for June increased by 3.2% (up 53% since the year's start) to 2.3338 trillion tenge.
