Russian electronics chain Eldorado sees revenue fall 29% to 39.6 bln rubles in H1
MOSCOW. July 23 (Interfax) - Russian electronics and home appliance chain Eldorado saw sales revenue fall 29.4% to 39.6 billion rubles in the first half of 2009 compared to the same period of 2008, Eldorado general director Igor Nemchenko told journalists.
Like-for-like sales fell 21.7% in the half, while EBITDA (earnings before interest, taxes, depreciation and amortization) totaled 2.7 billion rubles versus negative EBITDA of 1.9 billion rubles in January-June 2008. The EBITDA margin grew to 8.1% from minus 3.8% a year earlier.
