Moscow's Domodedovo Airport handles 21% fewer passengers in H1

MOSCOW. July 23 (Interfax) - Moscow's Domodedovo Airport handled 7.617 million passengers in the first half of 2009, down 21.1% from 9.654 million in the same period of 2008, Domodedovo press secretary Irina Gorbunova told Interfax.

Passenger turnover declined about 20% throughout the aviation industry in the first half, including 14% in Moscow.

Domodedovo was Russia's biggest airport in 2008, serving 20.438 million passengers, up 9% from 2007. Domodedovo is part of the East Line group of companies.
