TNK-BP to boost investment in environmental measures to 4.6 bln rubles in 2009

MOSCOW. July 23 (Interfax) - TNK-BP will increase investment in environmental measures to 4.6 billion rubles in 2009, the company's press service told Interfax.

It was reported earlier that TNK-BP was planning to invest more than 3 billion rubles in environmental projects in Russia in 2009, a level slightly higher than last year.

TNK-BP boosted financing for an environmental program at subsidiary Saratovnefteprodukt by more than 40% to 27.1 million rubles in the first half of 2009 compared to the same period of 2008.
