Ukraine's Ukrtransnafta boosts net profit 400% in H1
KYIV. July 24 (Interfax) - Ukrtransnafta, Ukraine's oil transportation monopolist, boosted net profit some 400% to 451.726 million hryvni in the first half of 2009 compared to the same period of 2008, the company said in a report.
Sales revenue fell 2.8% to 1.049 billion hryvni in the period, while gross profit grew 300% to 594.638 million hryvni.
The company boosted net profit 140% to 125.696 million hryvni in the second quarter of 2009 compared to the same period of 2008, sales revenue - 26.5% to 473.031 million hryvni and gross profit - 160% to 248.584 million hryvni.
Net profit fell 90.7% in 2008 to 19.704 million hryvni from 193.974 million hryvni in 2007.
Ukrtransnafta is the operator of the Ukrainian oil transport system. Naftogaz Ukrainy manages 100% of the company's shares.
The official exchange rate on July 24 was 7.663 hryvni/$1.
