Gazprom Neft could become sole owner of Tomskneft in 2011
TOMSK. July 27 (Interfax) - OJSC Gazprom Neft could purchase 50% of the shares in OJSC Tomskneft from a subsidiary of Rosneft in 2011, the Deputy Governor of the Tomsk region, Vladimir Yemeshev said at press conference on Monday.
"There is a protocol and agreements for Gazprom Neft's purchase of 50% packet from Rosneft. This should happen in 2011," Yemeshev said.
He added that, despite some worries, the company is not experiencing problems with its management.
In May 2008, OOO Neft-Aktiv, a company belonging to Rosneft, and OOO Gazpromneftfinans, a structure of Gazprom Neft, became equal shareholders in OJSC Tomskneft.
Tomskneft was earlier a part of Yukos. In May of last year, Rosneft purchased Tomskneft in auction in the framework of the Yukos bankruptcy. In December 2007, Rosneft sold 50% of the shares in this asset to Gazprom Neft.
