Sberbank increases number of bankcards by 11.5% to 33.9 mln units

MOSCOW. July 29 (Interfax) - Sberbank increase the number of its bankcards in January-June by 11.5% to 33.9 million units, the bank said in a statement.

Total international payment cards of MasterCard and Maestro increased by 12% to 17.7 million units, Visa and Visa Electron - up 15% to 13.1 million units and Sbercard - down 3% to 3.1 million units.

Total credit cards offered by Sberbank and held by its clients came to 213,600 units. Total credit owing on these cards totaled 4.47 billion rubles.

Sberbank provides bankcard services at over 6,400 outlets throughout the whole of Russia.
