Watchdog allows 116 French plants to export fish to Russia

MOSCOW. Aug 7 (Interfax) - Russian food safety watchdog Rosselkhoznadzor has granted permission to 116 fish processing plants in France to export their fish and seafood products to Russia, the service said.

Rosselkhoznadzor decided to allow exports from the plants after the two countries signed a memorandum on the terms for supplies of fish and seafood to Russia from France.

Russia will not accept fish products shipped from French plants that have not been included in the list starting from September 1, Rosselkhoznadzor said.
