TNK-BP sees oil product sales fall 6.6% in H1; crude oil sales up 7.5%
MOSCOW. Aug 12 (Interfax) - TNK-BP saw sales of oil products fall 6.6% in the first half of 2009 year-on-year to 15.702 million tonnes, the company said on its web site.
Oil product exports outside the CIS declined 4.5% year-on-year to 8.676 million tonnes, while exports to the CIS rose 23% to 1.977 million tonnes. Deliveries to the domestic market fell 17.5% to 5.049 million tonnes.
TNK-BP said the crisis was to blame for the drop in domestic deliveries, including a 21% drop in commercial shipments and an 18% decline in passenger flights reported by the Transportation Ministry and Rosaviatsia. In addition, shipments by truck and car usage by individuals fell by about the same amount.
Crude oil sales increased 7.5% in the six months to 24.097 million tonnes. Exports outside the CIS rose 14% to 18.76 million tonnes and exports to the CIS fell 17% to 2.315 million tonnes. Deliveries of crude to the domestic market were down 4.7% to 3.022 million tonnes.
