Ruble weakens on back of lower oil

MOSCOW. Aug 17 (Interfax) - The ruble is weakening against the dollar and euro on the back of lower oil prices.

The dollar opened trading on the MICEX exchange at 32.1 rubles/$1 in Tom deals before falling to 32.25-32.3 rubles/$1, which is 60 kopecks above Friday's closing price and 40 kopecks above the official rate for today.

The euro began the day 35-40 kopecks above Friday and the official rate at 45.55-45.6 rubles/EUR1.

The ruble started falling again against the dual currency basket ($0.55 and EUR 0.45), which rose 55-60 kopecks to 38.25-38.3 rubles by 10:05 a.m.
