MOSCOW. Aug 17 (Interfax) - Russian production of cars in January-July 2009 decreased by 59.4% year-on-year to 350,000 vehicles, said the Federal State Statistics Service (Rosstat).
Production of trucks in this period shrank by 71.2% to 48,800 units. Passenger bus output went down by 61% to 16,000 units.
In July, car output increased 3.1% while truck production climbed by 24.1%.
