Kazakhstan boosts oil production 7% in Jan-July; condensate output falls 4%
ALMATY. Aug 17 (Interfax) - Kazakhstan increased oil production 7.4% to 36.465 million tonnes in January-July 2009 compared to the same period of 2008, the State Statistics Agency told Interfax.
Gas condensate production, however, fell 3.7% to 7.181 million tonnes in the period.
Natural gas production grew 6.2% to 20.572 billion cubic meters in the even months. Kazakhstan produced 10.813 bcm in gas form, down 5.3%, and 9.759 bcm as associated gas, up 22.9%.
Kazakhstan also produced 51.471 million tonnes of coal in the period, down 16.5% from the same period of 2008.
