Ukraine's Soyuz-Victan starts producing Medoff vodka in Russia
KYIV. Aug 17 (Interfax) - Ukrainian alcohol producer Soyuz-Victan has launched the commercial production of Medoff vodka at its Buturlinovsky Distillery in Russia's Voronezh region, Serhiy Komotskiy, the company's PR director, told Interfax.
He was unable to say how much vodka the distillery would produce initially or what kind of sales the company is expecting. At present, about 600,000-800,000 liters of Medoff vodka are sold in Russia per month, he said.
The Soyuz-Victan group was founded in Ukraine in 1994. Its production facilities are located in Simferopol in the Crimea (Ukraine) and in the Moscow region towns of Ruza and Lytkarino. The group produces more than 150 million liters of alcohol per year and exports its products to more than 35 countries.
