Belarus expands ban on meat, dairy product exports to Russia

MOSCOW. Aug 18 (Interfax) - Belarus has extended the list of dairy and meat factories, which are not allowed to export their products to Russia.

The Bobruisk meat factory, the Luninets dairy factory, the Kobrinsky creamery and KUP GMS NO.1 creamery have been added to the list which already comprises the Dyatkovsk creamery and the Skidelsk-based Milk World creamery.

The ban was imposed after antibiotics of the tetracycline group were discovered in the dairy products.

Forty-one Belarusian companies had been exporting meat and dairy products to Russia before these bans were imposed, the Russian veterinary and phytosanitary oversight service Rosselkhoznadzor reported.
