Ruble strengthens on higher oil

MOSCOW. Aug 24 (Interfax) - The dollar fell 15 kopecks to 31.46-31.5 rubles/$1 in the first few minutes of trading on the MICEX exchange.

This is 40 kopecks below today's official rate.

The euro fell 25 kopecks to 45.1 rubles/EUR1, which is 35 kopecks below the official rate.

The dual currency basket ($0.55 and EUR 0.45) fell 20-25 kopecks to 37.6 rubles.

The ruble is strengthening on the back of higher oil prices.
