About 30 million Russians to be inoculated against cold and flu
MOSCOW. Aug 24 (Interfax) - About 30 million Russians will soon be inoculated against cold and flu, the Federal Consumer Rights and Human Well Being Service said on Monday.
"A total of 27.45 million people from 'risk groups' will be inoculated with the domestic vaccines Grippol Plus and Grippol ahead of the cold and flu season of 2009/2010," the service said.
The 'risk groups' include medical personnel, schoolchildren, pre-school children and persons older than 60.
"The vaccines are based on flu viral strains recommended by the World Health Organization (WHO) for the epidemiological season of 2009/2010," the service said.
